Privacy and Data Policy

Your privacy is the concern of Radix Arena. We respect personal data and are committed to fully implementing and complying with the data protection principles and all relevant provisions of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

By creating an account, accessing, or participating in contests on Radix Arena ("Platform"), you acknowledge these Data and Privacy Policy ("Policy"). If you do not agree to the Policy, you must not use the Platform.

Data we collect

Upon account creation, we collect your email address, your account name, your username and your avatar.

If your account is created via Google OAuth, your email address, your account name and your avatar is provided by Google. You can modify your account name freely. If you would like to change your email address or your username, you must contact an admin for assistance.

When you participate in contests on the Platform, we keep a record of your contest submissions and your activity logs during contests, including but not limited to tab switches and window switches.

How do we collect it

Your data is voluntarily provided by you, except for activity logs which are collected automatically during a contest. Feedback for your contest submissions are created by us.

Why do we collect it

Your email address is used to identify you uniquely internally. Your account name and your avatar is for display purposes. Your username acts as a public identifier for other users.

Your contest submissions are required to calculate contest results. Your activity logs are collected to identify potential cheating and malicious behaviour.

How do we use it

Your email address and activity logs remains private and only accessible by us. Your account name, your username and your avatar are visible by everyone. Your contest submissions are visible by everyone, unless otherwise configured by us via contest settings.

Please note that we may use your account name, your avatar and your username in promotional materials, such as announcing leaderboards on social media. You can request us to hide your profile from promotional materials.

We retain your contest submissions and activity logs indefinitely. We retain the connection between you and your work indefinitely unless you specifically request us to anonymize your work.

Modification to the Policy

Radix Arena reserves the right to update the Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy. When the Policy is updated, users are notified when they access the Platform and have to click "Proceed" to continue using the Platform.

Your Rights

It is your right to access and correct your data that we hold in accordance to the Ordinance. You may also request us to permanently close your account, so that your data is deleted (except those specifically retained permanently) and your work anonymized.
